The government has finally released seven billion shillings for free secondary education. The funds come just two days after the secondary school head teachers association sounded the alarm, warning of early closure owing to the cash strain that has been affecting learning institutions. The ministry of education however says the money may mostly go into settling debts and arrears that have been incurred since January this year.
